I have been learning to write a fractured fairy tale using what I have leaned about narrative structures and features. My fractured was based on the three little pigs The best part of this  is the part me and PJ went to the time machine. I got a lot better at doing the pixel art. I am most proud of the pixel art

Identifying and Using different features in a text

We have been learning to identify and use different features in a text. we read a story about horses.
I used the contents page and index to find information about horses. My next step is to read more non-fiction books and use the contents page and index to find information.

3D Shapes

W.A.L.T identify and describe 3D shapes using  mathematical Language. I found this easy because i know the shapes,faces,corners and edges. my next step is to keep learning about shapes

I have been learning to solve multiplication problems using arrays.  I found this easy  because I just have to do my 5 times tables. my next step is to my next step is to learn my 5 times tables fast.

W.A.L.T write a character description. using adjectives. I found this picture hard  to describe because I didn't know it in the first place. I used my 5 senses to write 5 different sentences about my character. My next step is to add more interesting adjectives.

Comparing Fair Tales

I have been learning to identify common themes in fairy and fractured tales we read two narratives called red riding hood 'into the forest." common theme i made from these stories was they both had a red riding hood and a basket of food for grandma. l found this hard because i didn't know this in the first place my next step is to try hard

This is my Maori God Art. we read a myth called In the beginning. I drew tane and used some adjectives to describe him I enjoyed this activity.

I have been learning to skim and scan non fiction texts to find and summerise information. we read a  story about white-tailed spiders. we had to find  facts from the text and summerrise them. I find this hard because I cant do the first one. my next step is to learn about more.

I have been learning to make 10 to solve simple addition problems. I fond this tricky becaue i didn"t know it. my next step is to use this strategy to solve harder problems.

My Reflection

We have been learning about the structure and order of writing an explanation. We had to put the piece of writing in the correct Order. I found this tricky because i didn't know how all the pieces because all the pieces were separated. my next step is to write my own Explanation.

Classifying Celebrations

We have been learning to compare and contrast different celebrations. My group researched information about Chinese new year. Something I found interesting was learning about fireworks. Next we worked with another  group and  used a Venn diagram to compare our celebrations. Things that were the same were how important families are. My next step is to put more detail and information in the Venn diagram.

W.A.L.T solve multiplication problems using repeated addition.  I found this tricky because it is hard to get the numbers into the right arrays.  My next step is to keep using arrays to help me solve problems.
